The Moon’s A Balloon

The moon’s a balloon up high in the sky,

Floating and glowing as it passes by.

It drifts through the clouds, so full and round,

The things it has seen, oh what tales do abound.

***

It gazes upon us so far down below,

Watching our lives, wherever we go.

It ebbs and it flows with the tides of the sea,

A constant companion, for you all, and for me.

***

With craters and mountains and a face that we know,

In the dark of the night, it is there for us, aglow.

It illuminates the land with its gleaming light,

Guiding us through the darkness of the night.

***

The moon’s a balloon that slowly moves on,

So majestic, so brilliant, from dusk until dawn.

It’s a symbol of hope and everything good,

A magical sight filling us with gratitude.

***

So look up at the sky and you’ll see it soon,

The moon, our balloon, always in tune.

Let it shine on your path, and light up your way,

As it floats through the night sky, day after day.
