AND SO it begins, with two women who are brought together in unusual circumstances. They sense a presence, almost like a veil, in their rooms that draws them to each other, bringing with it intrigue and fear. From the start it seems that there is a connection between them but what that connection is will lead us into the story
“When the presence was lost Nicola and Sophie had the same reaction, both were left speechless, both troubled that something may be going seriously wrong in their heads. What on earth was it. What was happening. What in the world was going on. They each stood motionless shivering uncontrollably. It can’t be real can it. Extreme tiredness consumed them as they each sat down in their comfortable chairs, Sophie’s in her study and Nicola’s in her therapy room out in her garden, and they both slept and slept, deeper and deeper they went, into their unconscious minds, processing the experience which was, to each of them, unfathomable.”
A MYSTERIOUS series of events evolves as they get to know one another and, though they live half a world apart, they share a common love of hunting ancestors and of family ties. This interest in history especially family history and their dabbling in ghosts from the past, seems to bring with it ghosts that are nearer to home.
FAMILY TRAGEDY pulls Sophie and Nicola closer together, as they bring to light the relationships around them, with grief and loss playing a part in the opening up of shielded emotions and guarded secrets.
A BOND grows with the discoveries and coincidences, but mistrust also appears as they experience more revelations. As the reality begins to unravel, the consequences of their coming together become clear.
